Our Cookie Policy

This page sets out every cookie we place when you visit bluebetz-casino.uk, why it is there, how long it lasts and what you can do about it. We keep the language plain because this policy is for you, not for lawyers.

What Cookies Actually Are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device when you visit. Each one holds a few pieces of data, such as a session identifier or your chosen language, and sends that data back to us (or to the partner who placed it) on your next visit. On their own, cookies cannot read your hard drive, install software or access anything outside the site that created them.

We use them for three practical jobs at Bluebetz Casino: keeping you logged in, remembering what you selected last time, and understanding in aggregate which pages work well and which do not. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, follow the same rules we describe here.

The Cookies We Place

Strictly necessary

These keep the site working and safe. Without them you could not log in, place a bet or complete a deposit, because your session would reset on every page load. They include our session identifier, the token that keeps you authenticated, and a security flag that protects forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not ask for consent to load these, because the site cannot function without them, and the same position is taken under the UK GDPR and PECR.

Functional

Functional cookies remember the choices you have already made so you do not repeat them. Language, odds format, display theme and whether you dismissed a notification all sit here. Deleting them does not break anything; the site simply reverts to defaults and asks you again.

Analytics

Analytics cookies tell us, in aggregate, how visitors move through the site: which games page gets the most attention, where people abandon a deposit, which device types dominate. The data is aggregated and cannot single you out on its own. You can refuse analytics cookies through the banner or your browser, and we will not treat that refusal as a reason to limit your account in any way.

Marketing

Marketing cookies support the promotional side of the site, such as showing you the offers most relevant to how you play and capping how many times you see the same advertisement. They also help us measure whether a bonus campaign brought players who stayed. Since we launched in 2023, marketing cookies have been opt-in only, and we revisit the list of partners allowed to place them twice a year.

Cookies Set by Others

We do not run every part of the site ourselves, so some cookies belong to partners we work with. We allow four categories of third party: analytics providers who help us count and understand traffic, advertising networks who serve and measure promotional campaigns, payment providers who need their own session data when you deposit or withdraw, and game studios whose titles load in embedded players.

For deposits and withdrawals, providers such as Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Trustly, Paysafecard and Skrill may set cookies on their own secure pages when you complete a transaction. Game content from studios including NetEnt, Pragmatic Play, Play'n GO and Evolution may store minimal session data so your game state survives a page refresh. Each third party processes that data under its own policy as a controller, and we review the full list before adding anyone new.

How You Control Cookies

On our site

The cookie banner appears the first time you visit. From it you can accept everything, reject everything except strictly necessary cookies, or open granular settings where each category has its own toggle. You can reopen those settings at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer; your choice takes effect immediately and applies to this browser on this device.

In your browser

All major browsers let you block or delete cookies without touching our site at all:

  • Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies and site data.
  • Safari: Settings, then Privacy, where you can block all cookies or prevent cross-site tracking.
  • Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Manage Exceptions under Cookies and Site Data.
  • Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions, then Manage and delete cookies.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies has real consequences: you may be logged out mid-session, deposits can fail at the payment step, and security checks may reject your activity. Blocking functional or marketing cookies simply returns the site to defaults and stops tailored offers. If you play across devices, remember that cookie preferences are stored per browser, so you need to set them once on each.

How Long We Keep Them

Every cookie we place has an expiry, and we do not extend them indefinitely. Session cookies die the moment you close your browser. Persistent cookies last between 30 and 365 days depending on what they do, with the longest retention reserved for the record of your cookie choice itself, so we do not have to ask you every single visit. The table below is the complete schedule; if we add a cookie that does not fit it, we update this page first.

CategoryPersistenceReason
Strictly necessarySession or up to 7 daysLogin and security only work short-lived
Functional90 daysPreferences rarely change, so asking weekly is pointless
Analytics30 daysLong enough for a fair visit sample, short enough to stay proportionate

Changes to This Policy

When we change which cookies we use, we update this page and change the version date at the top of it. If a change adds a new category or a new third party, the cookie banner reappears so you can decide again with full information. Where we are required to notify you directly, we will do so by email to the address on your account before the change takes effect.

Questions about anything on this page go to our Data Protection Officer at [email protected]. Our live chat team is available 24/7 and can route specific privacy queries to the right person. You also have the right to request a copy of the data linked to you and to ask us to correct or delete it, as set out in our wider Privacy Policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do cookies let you see my personal details?

No. A cookie holds a short identifier, not your name, balance or payment details. We can only connect a cookie to your account when you are logged in, and even then the data is limited to what this page describes.

Can I play at Bluebetz Casino with all cookies blocked?

Not fully. With every cookie blocked, logging in, depositing and withdrawing will fail because those functions rely on strictly necessary cookies. Functional, analytics and marketing cookies are all optional and safe to refuse.

How do I change my choice later?

Use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page. It opens the same granular settings as the original banner, and your new choice applies immediately to that browser and device.

Will rejecting marketing cookies affect my bonuses?

No. Your eligibility for the welcome bonus, cashback and every other promotion is untouched by cookie settings. You may simply see less relevant advertising rather than tailored offers.
